Extra-mile effort brings prestigious award for Caremark’s Shipra Mehta and Swati Bagwe

Showing they care about so much more than just the profitability of their business has won Shipra Mehta and Swati Bagwe a prestigious industry award.

The owners of Caremark in Richmond Upon Thames earned one of the inaugural Great British Franchisee Awards for the passion they put into the business and the success it’s achieved.

Neither had worked in the care sector before joining Caremark, yet they ended up setting an example to the industry by launching a befriending service for the lonely and did shopping free of charge for isolating clients.

“We get so many word-of-mouth referrals because this isn’t about growing a profitable business, but helping each other,” says Shipra and Swati.

“We’ve got a brilliant team here and a huge number of care workers. We all share the same passion and vision.

“Our care workers go through a lot of training before they go near a client, so we get excellent feedback from clients and other stakeholders.

“We’ve always worked hard as a team. We have more than 100 clients, cover Richmond and Hounslow, and have been helped to grow a lot by hospitals, clinical commissioning groups, and social services.

“It’s a great feeling, winning this award, because you feel your hard work has been recognised and it gives a good boost to your team as well. it’s motivating for them.”

Shipra and Swati won the newly-created award from whichfranchise for being outstanding franchisees in all aspects of their business.

The Great British Franchisee Awards recognise franchisees’ exceptional performance and business experience, ability to drive business growth, staff retention, customer satisfaction, community involvement, inspired leadership, and franchise involvement.
