We are grounds aficionados, not gardeners or lawn treatment operatives. Our customers expect us to not only keep their open spaces looking the way they define in their briefs, but also to do it in a sustainable and conscientious way for the environment and the nature that we work alongside.
Private and public organisations highly value well maintained grounds not just for presentation but also safety and security reasons. In fact, open space maintenance and management services are so highly valued that individual contracts can range from £500 to over £1 million per year.

Each franchise area is mapped using sophisticated demographic data, ensuring your optimal operating area provides you with not only some contracts from the start, but also the potential capacity to operate multiple vans.
You’ll be supported by our Franchise Director Owen Barton (who has experience of being a franchisor and franchisee) to assist with identifying and capitalising on business growth opportunities. Many new customers can be generated by referrals from existing satisfied customers, coupled with our pro-active marketing techniques to turbo charge lead generation.

How we train you
To ensure you are fully prepared for all situations we provide a comprehensive training academy carried out by the Naturespace leadership team alongside representatives of our approved suppliers to set you up the right way. The leadership team will be with you every step of the way.
You will learn all about our open space maintenance and management services, and the different skills and tools used. From using a zero-turn ride-on mower to brush cutters and hedge trimmers, we’ll ensure that you’re comfortable, competent and CERTIFIED using all the equipment needed to start your business.
But it doesn’t stop there, in addition we will train you in essential business skills, from marketing, sales, operations and software. You will also be supplied with bespoke software for invoicing, business management, marketing, and business development.
Whilst work from the outset is great, what about further support to help you grow your business. Naturespace can help you with – marketing and sales, business & financial planning, business support, invoicing and accounts and regular on the job training.
The franchise cost
The initial investment required for a Naturespace franchise can be from as little as £30,000.
That cost is simply the Franchise Fee £25,000 (+VAT), plus Working Capital to ensure you are funded well enough to launch and grow your business the right way
Ideal partner
Our franchise candidates come from a variety of backgrounds, each with an overwhelming desire to become their own boss and enjoy the benefits that come with that position.
However, this franchise isn’t for everyone… we’re after franchise partner with some key personality traits and/or interests;
- Love the outdoors – yes you will be working in the great British outdoors and it’s everchanging weather – your mindset should be one of “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing choice” and we provide all the right clothing options for you.
- Care about the environment – our core motto is ‘do the right thing’ and that doesn’t just apply to our customers, in fact sometimes we have to educate our customers on why we do the right thing by the environment and nature first, which ultimately is the right thing for them in the long run. That’s why they see us as trusted advisors, not just a grounds maintenance contractor.
- Be a grafter – yes, you will be ‘on the tools’ and performing the service as you grow your business, so whilst you might not need to have a background in the grounds care industry, you will need to be a practical person to learn the competencies of the trade.
