Muffin Break, the leading contemporary café brand, opened two new stores in September taking their UK presence to 68 stores.

The cafés were opened in The Exchange, Ilford and The Overgate Centre, Dundee. Both great locations for Muffin Break to have presence in.

Craig Free is the franchisee for Dundee and Hamid Qayyum has Ilford.  Both are experienced multi-unit franchisees with 5 other Muffin Break stores each.

Joshua Nixon, Head of Estates (UK) at Muffin Break commented, “We are delighted that Craig and Hamid have added another store each to their portfolio.

Both are great ambassadors for the brand and really highlight the potential Muffin Break has for prospective partners looking for a scalable opportunity.”

Muffin Break originated in Canada in the 1970s and was procured by the Foodco Group in Australia a decade later, where Muffin Break became the brand we love today. The first Muffin Break bakery cafe in the UK opened its doors in 2001 and has now proudly acquired 69 locally owned cafes nationwide.

Muffin Break is not only famous for their muffins, but with breakfast bagels and croissants in the morning to flatbreads and wraps in the afternoon and cakes for an afternoon treat, there’s a lot more to Muffin Break than meets the eye!

Muffin Break is looking for passionate and like-minded individuals to help expand the brand across the UK.  By joining the Muffin Break franchise family you can benefit from being your own boss, alongside the expertise and reputation of an established bakery cafe business.
