DOMINO'S PIZZA STRENGTHENS PROPERTY ACQUISITIONS TEAM

Domino’s Pizza, the UK and Ireland’s leading pizza delivery company, has appointed three additional members to its Acquisitions team in an effort to meet the growing demand for Domino’s outlets across the UK. They join to give Domino’s even greater coverage of the property markets throughout the UK & Ireland.

Tom Poulton and Laura McGlynn will join as Acquisition surveyors, with Mitesh Joshi taking up a role of site finder, working as a support to the team across the UK. Tom will be responsible for acquiring opportunities in the South, South West and Wales with Laura covering the London and the Eastern region. All three recruits will report into Colin Jarrold, head of acquisitions and will be working out of the Milton Keynes head office.

Tom joins from Tragus Group, one of the UK’s largest restaurant groups, where he was an acquisitions manager for the London and South East region. Within this position he was tasked with finding new restaurant opportunities for three of the group’s chains, Café Rouge, Bella Italia and Strada. Tom was responsible for the management of the acquisition process, from identification of sites through to completion of the lease and handover of the site to the operational side of the business. Prior to this, Tom was an acquisition surveyor for Woolworth Plc, acquiring retail property suitable for conversion into new stores.

Laura joins Domino’s from her previous position of property manager at Sky Retail Stores where she oversaw the roll-out of Sky Retail kiosks in major shopping centres across Ireland by liaising with landlords, designers, and service suppliers to open 25 + stores in the republic.

Mitesh has joined Domino’s from Perfect Pizza where he held a similar site finder role. He is looking forward to working with Domino’s, seeing it as an opportunity to grow and learn whilst contributing towards the growth plans of a market leader.

Andrew Emmerson (pictured), business development director, says “Domino’s is expanding rapidly and our eventual goal is to increase our presence from over 500 Domino’s stores to 1,000 across the UK and Ireland. Laura, Tom and Mitesh’s contribution will be pivotal in helping us to meet that objective, and aid us in opening our target of 50 new stores each year. Domino’s already has over 500 stores, but only 55% of all UK households have access to the delivery service. This represents considerable scope for our future growth.”

“Domino’s, as a responsible operator, offers local landlords a secure and quality tenant with long-term security and our extensive retail sector knowledge and experience mean we can make decisions on potential sites within a matter of weeks. “
