SEEKING OUT BUSINESS SUCCESS IN CURRENT CLIMATE

Today, anyone choosing to start up their own business needs extra reassurance that the business model for their new enterprise is future proof and fit to weather the challenges of the current economic downturn. Vital to the success of the business will be the identification of a market sector unaffected – or whose growth has been fuelled by – the much debated credit crunch. A sharp increase in the number of disputes made by tenants or landlords (The Tenancy Deposit Scheme is currently dealing with over 150 disputes a week) has impacted on the demand for detailed, consistent and independent inventory reports to provide the relevant authoritative documentation to help settle such disputes – such as those offered by No Letting Go, the UK’s first national inventory management brand operating in the domestic rental market.

However, the growth in tenancy disputes and associated enhanced demand for rental support services isn’t the only reason that business is booming for No Letting Go. This trend needs to be viewed alongside the bigger picture of what is happening in the property sector, where in stark contrast to the demise of the estate agency business, the rentals sector is reportedly booming and as a result so is the demand for independent inventory services, such as those provided by No Letting Go.

Since its inception at the end of 2007, the No Letting Go network continues to go from strength to strength with the company now boasting 10 franchise areas in the UK: Newcastle; Leicester; Gravesend; Medway; Bexley; Bromley; Greenwich, Oxford, Reigate and Canterbury. The South East London franchise (based in Bexley) has dramatically doubled its turnover in the last four months, underpinning the considerable potential for the No Letting Go business model and the significant opportunity that exists to extend the network to cope with the growing demand for outsourced inventory management services.

Nick Lyons, managing director says “The most important issue for any franchisee prospect is to ensure they buy into a franchise which is operating in a growth market with potential to expand. Franchisees must also be satisfied that the business model developed by the franchisor is an established and proven blue-print for success – rather than merely an aspired for outcome for the business. Another key consideration is to review the training on offer for franchisee prospects. All too often franchisees are given inadequate training to achieve the necessary targets and franchisors fail in their duty to provide on-going mentoring and support to ensure the growth and development of the franchisee’s business. At No Letting Go we are committed to the provision of extensive technical training to equip our franchisees with the necessary skills and knowledge to launch their own business within the inventory management sector. However, we equally place significant emphasis on our responsibility as the franchisor to provide our franchisees with regular mentoring sessions and ongoing business support. No Letting Go franchisees also benefit from a lucrative national contract for the handling of outsourced inventories, which provides newly trained franchise owners with instant access to a key client”.
