Chipsaway rewards franchisees and unveils marketing plans at anniversary gala dinner
Leading automotive paintwork repair franchisor ChipsAway International recognised and rewarded the achievements of its franchisees at a glittering anniversary Gala Dinner held to celebrate fifteen years of success since the company was first launched in the UK.
Around 300 UK based franchisees along with Master Franchisors from around the world including Spain, Greece, Holland and Bulgaria were invited to attend the celebrations, which included unveiling a number of exciting new marketing initiatives for 2010.
ChipsAway Chief Executive, Lloyd Evans, comments, “This event was a very important date in the ChipsAway calendar for 2010, with the announcement of a number of major marketing initiatives, along with the presentation of awards to our top performing franchisees.
“We were extremely excited to announce that Vicki Butler-Henderson, best known as the lively presenter of Channel Five’s Fifth Gear, has become the new ‘face of ChipsAway’ for 2010. Vicki will be presenting a new corporate DVD and will appear on ChipsAway marketing material, as well as becoming involved in a number of projects planned throughout this milestone year.”
Top performing franchisees were also singled out during the evening for special awards, including Anatol Poyer-Sleeman for Franchisee of the Year, Steve Ide for Business Developer of the Year and Ian Whitlock for Newcomer of the Year. They were each presented with their award by Vicki Butler-Henderson.
Lloyd adds: “We’re incredibly proud of what ChipsAway has achieved over the last fifteen years and we recognise that at the heart of our success are our hard working franchisees, so we wanted to say ‘thank you’ and draw attention to those who have shown particular dedication, commitment and strength.”
The company also announced their support for Help for Heroes, which will become ChipsAway’s chosen charity for 2010. Almost £3,000 was raised during the evening through a Grand Raffle. Prizes included Britain’s Got Talent hospitality tickets donated by Domino’s Pizza, a home cinema system worth over £1,500 donated by Listers VW and £500 of Virgin Experience vouchers jointly donated by Armcom, DDPR, Giles, Kisiel & Co and Grovenet.
Lloyd adds: “Help for Heroes is a very special Charity supporting our war heroes returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. I am confident that we will all work hard throughout the year to raise as much money as possible, in as many ways as possible for such a worthy cause. Overall the evening was a huge success and we are already looking forward to next year’s event!”
