Ology Coaching given springboard for growth

Smith & Henderson, a specialist franchise recruitment consultancy, announced today that 22 franchisors have registered to date, to take part in the inaugural Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark - an industry-wide study of franchisee satisfaction.

Participating has certainly paid off for Ology Coaching, which received impressive results. Described as "painless" and "extremely well managed" by Ology Director, Dave Pike, its coaches were invited to complete the anonymous online survey about their franchise ownership experience.

79% of its coaches completed the survey, with almost 9 in 10 saying they would recommend the license to others. Dave Pike, Ology Director said “As we received extremely positive feedback, our Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark results will add greatly to our recruitment efforts across the world.” Ology plans to use its results to boost its franchise recruitment marketing and will share its independent report with prospective franchisees to show how it delivers on its promises.

“Importantly it will also allow us to specifically address areas where there is room for further improvement and make several immediate changes” said Dave. “The survey confirmed a couple of areas where we need to make it clear to our licensees that this is their responsibility and not that of the licensor, which is a very important point in order to manage expectations. I highly recommend the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark.”

In a similar fashion to the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For, outstanding franchisors will be recognised in The Best Franchise Awards later this year. What makes these unique is they are based exclusively on franchisee feedback.

“The response from franchisors has been fantastic”, said Steven Frost, Partner at Smith & Henderson, who developed the benchmark. “From a standing start, we’ve already had 22 franchisors participate from all different types of market sectors, representing hundreds of franchisees.

“More importantly, we’re already seeing how this can improve transparency in franchising – reputable companies like Ology Coaching are using their independent results to prove how they deliver on their promises. If a prospective franchisee is looking at theirs and several other franchises and is given a copy of Ology’s report, they’ll ask themselves why the other franchisors have not or will not share with them their Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark results.”
