TaxAssist Accountants franchise beats industry heavyweights to social media accolade

National small business accountancy franchise, TaxAssist Accountants, has beaten most of the UK’s largest practices in a study into the profession’s use of social media in customer communications.

The network, which has nearly 200 franchisees across the country and is expanding both in the UK and internationally, is placed second in the national league table, only one point behind Ernst & Young and ahead of industry heavyweights PwC, Deloitte and Grant Thornton.

Compiled by specialist professional services agency Flagship Consulting, the survey evaluated the performance of the top 60 UK accountancy firms across a blend of social media channels. TaxAssist Accountants was praised for its human approach and creating a fun and interesting personality.

TaxAssist Accountants National Marketing Manager James Mattam, said:

“This accolade is testimony to our network, which has really embraced the value of social media as another avenue to engage with its small business client base. We provide the guidance, training and content ideas, but it is the individual franchisees that make it work. Always good to beat the global giants, but even more satisfying when it’s in relation to getting our customer relationships right.”
