Wagging Tails franchise sees growth as bookings double in 2012!

Wagging Tails saw bookings nearly double for the final quarter of 2012. Trading through what has been a particularly harsh recession Wagging Tails saw bookings for the final three months of 2012 up 94% on the equivalent period in 2011. Figures for the whole year painted a similar picture with bookings up 92% on 2011 as Wagging Tails added three new franchise territories in this period.

Managing Director Lisa Suswain stated, "It just goes to show how much British owners care for their dogs. We pride ourselves on our high quality of dog care with our dogs' welfare at the heart of the Wagging Tails service. We have a great network of franchisees and our owners clearly value the service they deliver and this is reflected in the success and growth we have experienced as a group over the last 12 months".

A growth industry

23% of UK households own a dog with an estimated 8 million dogs currently residing in this country (PFMA Annual Report 2012). According to Euromonitor International the UK Pet care industry was expected to grow 6% to a value of just under £4 billion by the end of 2012 with continued growth forecast over the coming years.
