Wakefield takeover for family franchisee team

Transport and logistics specialist recruiter, Driver Hire Wakefield, has new owners. The Batley-based franchise has been bought by brothers Craig and Danny Shuttleworth. Craig will be responsible for running the office on a day-to-day basis with assistance from Danny.

Before deciding to buy a Driver Hire franchise, Craig was Operations Manager for an office services company. Danny is a fireman and will assist Craig in the office when he’s not on duty.

Driver Hire has a network of 100 offices nationwide. It provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to organisations across the UK. They help when customers need extra staff to deal with holidays, illness or business expansion. Driver Hire is also a leading provider of Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) and other logistics training.

“In my previous job I was responsible for transport and logistics, so I understand what clients are looking for when it comes to temps,” says Craig. “Driver Hire prides itself on delivering quality, guaranteed drivers, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We’re looking forward to supplying them to a wide range of local and national businesses and organisations in the Wakefield postcode area.”
