Local recruiter is nationwide flavour of the month
The Canterbury office of leading local recruitment company Driver Hire has won a national award. Specialists in the supply of staff to the transport and logistics industry, the Canterbury team beat off the challenge of Driver Hire’s nationwide network to claim the company’s coveted ‘Office of the Month’ prize.
“They had an incredible month,” says Tony Goacher, Driver Hire’s Network Development manager. During their award winning month they supplied a whole host of temporary workers to local businesses and organisations enabling them to double their turnover. They also won back two significant customers and added 29 new ones.”
The Canterbury team were presented with a certificate and magnum of champagne to celebrate their success. They’ve also collected points that they can spend on a wide range of prizes including activity days and consumer goods.
Driver Hire, which is a franchise business mainly provide temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
Commenting on their award, Andrew Padgett, owner of the Canterbury franchise said: “We’re delighted that our business performance has been recognised in this way. I’m sure it’s going to spur us on to even greater efforts during the coming year.”
