Anniversary celebrations for Martin & Co Worcester
Fast growing Martin & Co Worcester, the lettings specialists are celebrating their fifth year in business, and have agreed a business plan with the Bournemouth Head Office to develop the business still further over the next five years.
Joint business owners Peter & Rani Grieve said: “Worcester is a great place to be providing a letting service. We have enjoyed a phenomenal five years and we are absolutely delighted with the way the business has evolved. We want to say a big thank you to our landlord clients for their continued loyal support!
“We are being instructed on a wider range of properties than you would instinctively think would be suitable for letting. Our name and reputation has spread quickly among both landlords and tenants in Worcester which continues to be an area of high rental demand. Word of mouth is the very best recommendation. Our focus is on great customer service and we strive to provide our clients with the best possible value for money.” added Peter.
Within the first two years of trading, Peter & Rani Grieve not only successfully expanded their Worcester business but also opened a second lettings business, Martin & Co Gloucester, in February 2010. Both businesses have gone from strength to strength, so much so that Peter and Rani have just completed on an acquisition of a property portfolio of over 200 managed properties from the well-established independent letting business Cox & Company. Martin & Co Worcester and Gloucester offices are now in the top 3 agents in their respective areas
Both offices can boast award winning titles with Worcester winning the ESTAS Gold Award in 2009 for the entire Central region. Following this, Peter & Rani scooped Best Small Lettings Agency of the Year 2011 in the Midlands for both their offices at the Sunday Times Awards in London.
Martin & Co Worcester & Gloucester now offer a bespoke residential property sales service which was primarily aimed at investor landlords looking to either expand or reduce their portfolio, but they are also now enjoying sales success in all areas of the market, from new luxury apartments in Malvern to modern executive detached family homes in Worcester.
The businesses are part of the national network of Martin & Co which has just short of 200 offices across the UK.
Peter Grieve says, “We offer expert local knowledge of the market backed with the strength and connections of a national network. It certainly helps us match people with property very quickly indeed.”
The prospects for the rental market in the area are excellent, says Rani Grieve, “With all the difficulties being experienced in the housing market at the moment, demand for rented accommodation is very much on the increase. Given this - plus the fact that industry pundits all agree that lettings nationally are set to boom, it’s never been a better time to think about becoming a landlord.”
