TaxAssist Accountants franchise win top international award
Mould-breaking accountancy network TaxAssist Accountants has won a top international award, beating global groups and industry giants.
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) awarded Accountancy Firm of the Year status to TaxAssist Accountants at a glittering ceremony in London last night (Thursday, October 3) at the AIA Founders’ Lecture.
The awards, decided by public vote, largely made up of AIA members, crowns a year of continued expansion for the network, which provides tax and accountancy services to small businesses.
TaxAssist Accountants recorded 12.4% growth in the latest Accountancy Age Top 50 listings, beating the “Big 4” international groups and achieving the fifth highest growth across the whole Top 50.
“This is testimony to the continued success of our business model,” said Karl Sandall, CEO of TaxAssist Accountants. “We’re bucking the trend by offering a welcoming, straight talking approach, with accountants in shop-front offices right on the high street. We celebrated our first million pound franchise resale last year, achieving a multiple of 1.25 against an accountancy industry average of 0.8 to 1.0 and have now embarked on an international expansion drive, exporting our business model to Canada, the U.S., New Zealand and Australia.”
The AIA is a global body for professional accountants, which aims to create world class accountants through offering high standard, relevant and innovate qualifications and providing first-class, tailored and pertinent services for its members around the world. Founded in 1928, it has promoted the concept of international accounting to create a global network of accountants in over 85 countries worldwide.
