25 years of core values with Signs Express franchise
2014 marks the 25th anniversary of Signs Express. In this time, the company has grown from a small unit in Norwich to a 70 strong network of franchises across the UK and Ireland.
This past year marked the departure of Frank Eliel and David Corbett, the founding directors of Signs Express who have retired after 24 years with the company. Frank and David have left a strong legacy of success, paving the way for managing director Craig Brown, along with Tony Marsh and Peter Sayles, also directors and shareholders in the company, with Jonathan Bean moving into the role of finance director and shareholder in 2013.
Some things, however, have not changed. The company’s commitment to expertise and continuous training for its staff has never wavered, the sign making industry is ever changing and so adapting to these changes and ensuring staff are up to speed and capable of moving with the times is vital to the success of the network.
Something else which is at the core of Signs Express’ values, and has been from the start, is its commitment to the support of its franchisees. The team at the Norwich based headquarters is dedicated to providing detailed and accurate information and on-going support to the network, making sure that in handling any issue, large or small, the franchisee has the resources they need.
The business and indeed the industry has changed dramatically over the past 25 years with some areas of sign making, thanks to new technologies, almost unrecognisable from where they began. The company’s achievements however, are largely attributed to the areas that haven’t changed. With a strong commitment to supporting the people in your business, success is rarely far away.
