etyres franchise owner is Silverstone racing sensation
etyres are delighted that Alex Kapadia, a key member of the etyres franchise network, achieved distinction at Silverstone last weekend during the first round of the European Le Mans Series. Alex, a successful etyres Franchise Owner, is also our Operations Manager and brings a wealth of experience to his role from his passion for endurance racing and the world of motoring.
As part of the three-man Murphy Prototypes team, his skill and blistering pace on the track impressed the paddock and earned Alex the Radiolemans.com Spirit of the Race award, voted for by Motors TV viewers live during the race on Saturday.
Unfortunately the team suffered a blowout during the 4 Hours of Silverstone race, however despite the initial set back, Alex showed the same level of ambitious determination he has always displayed in his involvement with etyres and put on an impressive performance. He was consistently the fastest car on the circuit, scything through the traffic and setting fastest lap of the race. By the time he pitted with just under an hour to go, Alex had managed to climb the table from down in 35th place, back up to 10th position. The team ended up coming eighth.
Alex is well suited to the role of etyres Operations Manager. As a successful etyres Franchise Owner himself, he knows exactly what is involved in the day-to-day running of an etyres franchise. Along with his business partner and joint Operations Manager, Oliver Hall, Alex is in charge of the practical section of New Franchise Owner training as well as ensuring all Franchise Owners and fitters are up to date on the latest industry developments and techniques. His commitment and continued support of Franchise Owners includes quarterly visits to every Franchise Owner and availability to answer any day-to-day queries.
Following the race, Alex summed up his experience: “It was a mixed race for us. We definitely had the pace to win today but the puncture just lost us too much time. On the positive side I am happy with my performance and that I showed the endurance racing world what I can do.
“The highlight of my weekend was stepping out of the car to a round of applause in the garage from the team and then being voted the radiolemans.com Spirit of the Race award by the TV viewers. I just hope I get another chance to run with the team and my co-drivers so we can get the win for the team that they deserve.”
