THE WORLD'S FASTEST PIZZA MAKER COMPETITION
For the last six months, pizza makers from Domino's stores across the UK and Ireland have been battling it out to win the coveted title of UK and Ireland's Fastest Pizza Maker 2006.Six months of dough slapping and stretching skills culminated in the Grand Final at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales on 22nd May when Pali Grewal from the Andover store beat off stiff competition and made three perfect pizzas in an amazing 1.06 mins, smashing not just his personal best but the world record of 1: 09 mins too!
Pali will be heading to the USA this month for the grand final where he will battle it out with the 12 other fastest pizza makers from around the globe for the world title, currently held by Rene DeGuia, a Domino's franchisee from Sarasota, Florida.
The competition which has been running world-wide since 1982, underlines Domino's commitment to getting great tasting pizza to customers doors as quickly and safely as possible by focussing on speed in the store and not on the road.
