Papa John's to Serve the Community of Clydebank

Leading pizza franchise Papa John’s has announced the opening of its latest store on Kilbowie Road, Clydebank in Scotland.  Nazim Vadiwala who joined Papa John’s as a franchisee in 2018, will now manage the Glasgow based store with the help of his team who also run Papa John’s in Leith Walk, Edinburgh and Whitley Bay, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Nazim Vadiwala who previously worked for a rival pizza company for ten years confirms: “It’s amazing to be up and running with my own multi-unit operation.  Where I was employed previously, there were no opportunities like this.  Moving to Papa John’s as a franchisee was a logical choice and since start-up I’ve never looked back!

“We now employ around 55 people across all three stores.  It’s a people business where everyone works together, and our team is really strong.  Our new store manager for Clydebank has worked as a manager in one of our other outlets for over a year and he’s able to bring his skills to help our newest recruits.  We also have a very experienced area manager Syed Salman, to oversee operations.  Their combined knowledge plus the dedication of our whole team, means we are sure Clydebank is set to be a success.”

“The people at Papa John’s QCC in Milton Keynes have also been great in supporting our multi-unit ambitions for growth.  They have ensured aspects of the new store opening, such as staff training (currently undertaken remotely) and the fit-out, have all gone smoothly.

“We have also been able to take advantage of a special Papa John’s incentive scheme for new store openings too, which is invaluable when launching in a new area.  Although we manage the local, digital and social marketing targeting the local community, the innovative national promotions and sports sponsorship run by the central marketing team have raised awareness, so Papa John’s is always top of mind when customers place an order for their favourite pizza!

“We are now looking forward to delivering on our promise of: “BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA.” to the residents and community of Clydebank.”
