The Travel Franchise is taking over 130 franchisees and corporate team members on its pioneering International Mastery Retreat onboard one of the world’s most environmentally advanced ships, MSC Euribia, on a seven-day intensive training trip 13-20 October 2023, departing Southampton and travelling to Hamburg, Rotterdam and Le Havre-Paris.

As part of the International Mastery Retreat, franchisees will benefit from motivational speakers, industry experts, market-leading consultants and experiencing the ship and its destinations first-hand. In addition, the event will celebrate the successes of its members, from successful new joiners who haven’t worked in travel previously but have fast-tracked their business from scratch to enjoy incredible profits, to established members who are hitting millions of pounds worth of sales targets each year.

MSC Cruises’ new ships have state-of-the-art sustainable technologies to protect and preserve the precious marine ecosystem. MSC Euribia is powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the cleanest marine fuel available at scale today, reducing CO2e emissions by up to 20% and virtually eliminating sulphur oxides and fine particles, while reducing nitrogen oxides by up to 85%. Over 80% of our freshwater is produced on board from desalinated seawater – up to 3 million litres per ship every day. Advanced wastewater treatment systems purify all water consumed. Smart heating, ventilation and cooling systems, plus long-lasting LED lighting have contributed to the reduction in MSC Cruises’ fleet carbon intensity by 34% since 2008.

Paul Harrison, co-founder of The Travel Franchise and its consumer-facing arm, Not Just Travel, said: “Sustainability is at our core. We don’t just pay lip-service to sustainability, but want to make long-term change. We have a renewed focus on reducing our impact and are expanding our multiple award-winning Climate Heroes initiative into a larger Climate and Social Responsibility Strategy. Collectively, with our franchisees, we talked about how to explore a pattern of sustainability and so we are proud to partner with MSC Cruises; advocating sustainability best practice by choosing its most environmentally friendly ship to host the next in our exclusive line of training retreats.”

Vickie Towey, MSC Cruises Regional Sales Manager for the North West Region, commented, "Our latest cruise ships like MSC Euribia are redefining the possibilities at sea. With advancements in cleaner technologies and groundbreaking restaurant concepts, our expanding fleet underscores our dedication to the planet's future. Notably, Not Just Travel's bookings have surged, thanks to their investment in our brand and the exceptional cruise experiences we offer. As a key cruise partner, we are delighted to host a multitude of passionate and enthusiastic consultants at this prestigious event.”
