Congratulations to Nicky Morris from Merry Maids Fylde, Blackpool and Preston, who has been awarded Great British Franchisee status in the whichfranchise Great British Franchisee Awards 2024.

About Merry Maids Fylde, Blackpool and Preston

Nicky bought Merry Maids Fylde and Blackpool in August 2002 after moving to the area and completing her Higher National Diploma in Business.

After ten years of successful trading, she acquired the adjoining Preston territory to expand her business, initially running both from the Blackpool office before growing to a size that meant she could open an office in Preston in 2016.

Today, the business provides expert home cleaning services across the region while providing a great place for staff to work, grow and thrive.

The Great British Franchisee Awards 2024

In achieving Great British Franchisee status, Nicky joins sixteen other franchisees from across the UK named this year’s cream of the crop of British franchising, providing exceptional contributions to the sector and delivering excellence in her business.

She also joins fellow Merry Maids franchisee Tom Jackson from Dudley, Wolverhampton and Stafford, who achieved this status last year.

The awards, currently in their fourth year, celebrate business success and reflect winners’ achievements in stability, growth, staff retention, customer satisfaction, community involvement, inspired leadership and their involvement in their franchise network.

By winning, Merry Maids Fylde, Blackpool and Preston is officially honoured as one of the best franchises in the UK in one of the industry’s most prestigious awards.

"The calibre of candidates was outstanding again this year. It is great that this exceptional group of franchisees are being recognised for going above and beyond “the norm”.  Their passion and commitment to their brand shown through in their applications. They are true ambassadors for franchising." says Suzanne Melville, Head of Marketing at whichfranchise.

The judges were impressed with Nicky’s strong track record, steady growth and commitment to following the Merry Maids model.

They commented that Nicky is a “great example of what you can achieve following a successful business model … it is clear that she is an outstanding franchisee for Merry Maids and a true brand ambassador.”

Vikki Donnachie, Merry Maids Brand Leader, added:

“I am delighted that Nicky is a winner recognised for the business she and her team have built."

"I enjoy working with Nicky and supporting her and her team in continuing to build on their already-established business across Fylde, Blackpool, and Preston. Nicky is committed to Merry Maids and is a great asset to our franchise network, a worthy winner.”
