A new pretzel shop is opening at Festival Place with the freshly baked American treats made in front of customers.

Auntie Anne’s is opening a kiosk in the centre next Saturday, November 9, with freebies to celebrate its launch.

The grand opening will include a giant pretzel pulling ceremony, free pretzel giveaway and an appearance by the brand’s mascot Mr Twisty. The fun starts at 10:45am and finishes at midday.

This will be Auntie Anne’s 39th shop to open in the UK. It’s famed for its iconic hand-rolled pretzels – both savoury and sweet – which are all hand rolled and freshly baked.

Festival Place Marketing Manager Sian Fisher said: “This is another exciting addition to our FP food and drink offering.

“We now have so much variety for our customers looking for that quick, yet delicious, snack. I’m sure it will be hugely popular.”

Director of Operations for Auntie Anne’s, Antony Baker says; "We're thrilled to bring Auntie Anne's to Festival Place, marking our 39th UK and Ireland location. This store embodies our commitment to fresh, handcrafted pretzels, and we can’t wait for Basingstoke to enjoy the full Auntie Anne's experience!"
