Canadian Sensation MB Chicken Finally Roosts In London
MB Chicken, the much-loved Canadian chicken institution, which is widely proclaimed by fans and reviewers to be ‘better than KFC’, has celebrated its grand opening at its first ever London location and third UK restaurant. First in the queue at the launch event last night were two Canadian icons: a Moose and ‘Justin Bieber’ - who stopped by for a taste of home.
Londoners are now invited to form an orderly queue behind them for Canada’s favourite chicken and quick-service sensations, such as the iconic ‘Tater Poutine’ – an MB Chicken exclusive and a twist on ‘chips and gravy’. MB Chicken’s bold twist on this Canadian classic promises to be the latest crave-worthy trend for London foodies as their signature tasty taters, made from fresh Irish potatoes, are topped with shredded cheese and smothered in house-made gravy. Another icon on the menu is the Big Mary® Chicken Burger which MB Chicken will be giving away for FREE to Londoners all day today*.
The Hounslow location is the fourth in the 55-year-old restaurant chain’s highly anticipated overseas expansion, following the major successes of the UK openings in Lisburn, N.I., and Belfast, N.I., earlier this year. The store also received a visit from Hounslow Mayor Karen Smith who learnt more about job creation and employment opportunities in the local area offered by the chain’s arrival.
Dylan Powell, VP International Development said: "We are thrilled to celebrate our opening today in true Canadian style as we throw open our doors to Londoners for the first time. As Canada’s largest and fastest-growing chicken quick-service restaurant due to our delicious Signature Chicken and Tater Poutine we’re excited to finally share our delicious dishes with Londoners today whom we know have an insatiable appetite for chicken!”
