Ruth Brown Elected to Deputy Chair of the BFA

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Home Instead’s COO Ruth Brown to Deputy Chair of The British Franchise Association (The BFA).

Appointed as Home Instead COO in 2022, Ruth worked her way through the ranks, first joining the business in its infancy, Ruth has been instrumental in the success and growth of Home Instead. Ruth helped to establish the brand as the UK’s number one home care company, delivering exceptional care throughout the country to the people who need it most.

A Historic Moment

Ruth’s appointment to the position of Deputy Chair marks a historic moment, as she is the first woman to hold this position since Pam Bader in the mid-1990s. Ruth’s wealth of experience and passion for advancing franchising make her an inspiring addition to the leadership team. She is poised to help steer the Association toward greater inclusivity and innovation.

Since 1977 The BFA has become by far the largest and most influential trade association for franchising in the UK, with Ruth’s appointment coming after a period of re-elections, made in order to strengthen the BFA’s leadership team. The changes reflect the diversity and expertise within the franchise community, helping to ensure that the BFA continues to drive progress and support its members effectively.
