THE LITTLE GYM GEARS UP FOR BIG OPENING
Following a gruelling two-year search for premises, The Little Gym at London Road, Bishop’s Stortford, is preparing for its official opening on 21 April. The new facility will offer The Little Gym’s unique curriculum-based gymnastics programme, which evolves with each stage of a child’s cognitive and motor skills development. The programme will be available for children of all abilities from 10 months to 12 years.
Located throughout the UK, The Little Gym provides a personalised, non-competitive learning experience that evolves week-by-week. It combines gymnastics, music and games, which promote co-ordination, balance, rhythm and flexibility. Classes are held in a safe, colourful, purpose-built environment where small groups learn new skills and gain confidence with close guidance and encouragement from highly trained instructors. As well as making the most of each stage of their development, children can make friends, let off steam and above all, have lots of fun! The Little Gym at Bishop’s Stortfort is the sixth location to open in the UK, with national coverage expected within five years.
Wendy Welch-Smith and Beccy Ward join gym owner, Virginia Barlow, at The Little Gym. With a wealth of gymnastics, dance, coaching and early year’s experience, the team will offer a full range of themed classes, as well as summer holiday camps.
Virginia Barlow commented, “After such a long wait, we’re thrilled to be opening in just a few weeks’ time and offer our huge thanks to everyone that has supported us! At a time when children’s health is at the forefront of government policy and everyone’s minds, there’s a great need for facilities like The Little Gym, which provide exercise in a fun and nurturing environment, allowing even the least confident child to blossom.
