TV debut for top Belvoir franchise owner

Harry Dhaliwal of Belvoir Manchester Central will make his TV debut on April 11 when he appears as a guest on ITV’s Tonight show. Harry will advise investors on how to guard against the pitfalls of negative equity and avoid contributing to the over-supply of rental apartments in some city centres.

When it comes to property lettings Harry certainly knows what he is talking about. He launched Belvoir Manchester Central five years ago, employs 15 staff members and recently recorded a revenue in excess of half a million pounds. This extraordinary achievement earned him the top award of Annual Record Breaker at Belvoir’s National Conference, held in March and his next goal is to become the first Belvoir franchise owner to record annual revenue of a million pounds.

On presenting Harry with his award, Mike Goddard the CEO of Belvoir said: “It is great to see a Belvoir franchise owner become so successful. He has taken Manchester city centre, a highly competitive area, invested a lot of money in huge offices and totally rewritten the record books in terms of his achievements, averaging a turnover of about £50,000 per month. Harry is modest, unassuming and quiet but he also has a steely determination and a very acute business mind.”

Harry is keen to reassure landlords that the current property market and credit crunch has had a positive effect on lettings, reflected in an increasing demand for rental properties.

“Potential landlords should always view their investments as a long-term five to ten year plan,” advised Harry. “As a lettings specialist I make my money from properties achieving their maximum rental potential and it’s in my interests to help investors buy in the right areas to achieve this. When people come to me for advice on whether or not to invest in a particular property I am always honest and tell them the truth rather than what they want to hear regarding its location and potential rental income. This may well differ to what they have been told by a property developer or an estate agent but that is because I am not in the business of selling property - I am in the lettings business.”
