Bumper Month for New Martin & Co Franchises
Hard on the heels of reporting a record-breaking year in 2007, Martin & Co - the UK’s largest and fastest-growing specialists in residential lettings, with 142 offices – has announced its best-ever month for recruiting new franchisees.
No fewer than 7 new applications were processed during May, with new offices scheduled to open from Sutton in Surrey to Paisley in Scotland – bringing the target figure of 30 offices to due to launch by the end of 2008 even closer.
This latest announcement comes only weeks after Martin & Co reported record growth in both earnings and the size of the network during 2007, with revenues up by an industry-leading 43%, a 42% increase in total lets, and 30 new franchises.
Commenting on the latest additions to Martin & Co’s rapidly expanding network, Managing Director Ian Wilson said: “Coming on top of 2007’s outstanding performance, nothing more clearly illustrates the strength of the lettings sector in general – and our business proposition in particular – than the fact that increasing numbers of successful businesspeople are choosing to invest in a Martin & Co franchise.”
In welcoming the new recruits to the Martin & Co colours, he said, “We are always delighted to welcome new franchisees, as their determination to succeed is intoxicating.”
Ian attributes Martin & Co’s continuing success in attracting franchisees both to the brand’s dramatic performance – so far this year it is delivering a remarkable 52% increase in revenue – and to the quality of the ongoing support that is provided. “Unlike some other franchise offerings out there, we don’t simply sell you a package and then walk away. Instead we offer a level of ongoing support that is far and away the best in the industry. In the first 3 months of 2008 alone, we made no fewer than 121 support visits to existing franchisees.”
He added, “Martin & Co are always keen to hear from agents who want to switch from sales to lettings. They can even continue to trade out their pipeline while we get them re-positioned with our branding as the No. 1 Lettings Agent on their high street.”
