The Franchise Academy wins National Training Award

Specialist franchise trainers The Franchise Academy have been recognised at the highest level for their training programmes at The National Training Awards at a glittering award ceremony in Glasgow.

The National Training Awards are a government sponsored initiative to celebrate the very best in training and development. It’s the first time an organisation dedicated to franchising has featured in this way. The Franchise Academy beat off stiff competition to secure the award for their work with residential cleaning franchise Myhome.

To make it this far The Franchise Academy had to demonstrate success in four key areas of their Myhome development programme: understanding the needs of the organisation, understanding the needs of learners, quality of training design and delivery and how the success of training is measured.

After four rigorous rounds of assessment the team from The Franchise Academy learned that they had won a National Training Award at a glittering ceremony in Glasgow. It means that they have been recognised as one of the very best training organisations in the UK. Their programme was commended for being intensive, comprehensive and very measurable.

Renee Mackay, Chief Executive of The Franchise Academy, was ecstatic, ‘We’re very proud to have won this award,’ she said. ‘It’s fantastic that the franchise industry has been recognised in this way and we’re delighted to be part of it.’

But it’s not the end of journey for The Franchise Academy. There’s one more awards ceremony in London on 11th December. This time it’s for the top prize: to be recognised as the best training organisation in the UK.

‘We’re looking forward to it,’ says Renee Mackay. ‘We always benchmark ourselves against the best, not only in franchising but across the whole economy. The chance to measure ourselves against the very best and biggest competition in this way is too good to miss.’

It certainly is good news to see franchising being recognised in this way in the field of training and development.
