Demand for care services boosts Home Instead franchise
At its annual conference held last month (October) care franchise company, Home Instead Senior Care, announced that their network of 64 offices which cover 71 franchise territories is now delivering over 1 million hours of care a year with monthly revenue up 58% year on year.
As the UK’s only care company to specialise in providing in-home care for older people, Home Instead has seen a significant increase in demand for its unique and specialised services over the last 12 months.
Despite the challenging economic climate, Home Instead is upbeat about the future and UK founder, Trevor Brocklebank says: “Our special blend of person-centred care is very much in demand. As the Government’s spending cuts hit, more and more people will need to access care privately. This, combined with the country’s rapidly ageing population, means that our business is recession-friendly.
“But we aren’t sitting back on our laurels. Our business is all about delivering exceptional levels of care and to do this we have the strongest, most thorough training and continued business support for our franchise owners, the majority of whom do not have prior experience of the care sector.”
Home Instead know that their model of operating a franchise business in the care sector, initially developed in the United States 16 years ago, works. There are now 5 UK franchise offices that have annualised revenues in excess of £1 million – and these are offices which have been in business for between 3 and 4 years.
Trevor continues: “We are all immensely proud of what we have achieved so far. It is our stated aim to become the UK’s most admired care company through changing the face of ageing. This year we will provide more than 1 million hours of care so I guess we are well on our way, but there is still a lot to do.
