Franchise Driver Hire's 'scrummy' idea

New Zealand, venue for the 2011 Rugby Union World Cup, may be on the other side of the globe from the UK, but specialist recruiter Driver Hire is determined to bring some of the excitement all the way into customers’ offices and depots. The franchisor, a leading supplier of temporary and permanent staff to the road transport and logistics industry, has produced a Rugby Union World Cup sweepstake poster which it’s sending to its customers, nationwide.

“Whether you’re a keen follower or not, the Rugby Union World Cup promises to be an exciting six weeks as 20 teams battle it out in the qualifiers, then the knockout stages before the final on October 23rd,” says Driver Hire’s Chief Executive, Chris Chidley. “There’ll be plenty of media coverage, so we thought we’d give our customers the opportunity to get really involved. And there’s no better way to do that than with an office sweepstake.”

The competition kicks off on September 9th in Auckland. Current world champions South Africa and home nation New Zealand are the fancied teams. Closer to home, Wales are the form side amongst the UK representatives.

“Driver Hire supports customers’ staffing needs 365 days a year, whether it’s a sub for regular team player or permanent new recruit,” Chris Chidley continues. “Whilst we always take customer service very seriously, we also believe that there’s room to have some fun too. And that’s what the sweepstake is all about.”
