Martin & Co franchise Saltaire support fundraising event for Macmillan Charity
Martin & Co Saltaire donned green wigs and green Macmillan T shirts for the day to take part in the ‘world’s largest coffee morning’. The letting agent raised a massive £691.34 for the charity in three hours.
The event was for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. One day each year Macmillan hold the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee morning’ - this entails all sorts of organizations, schools, businesses holding fund raising coffee mornings.
On Friday 30th September the Martin & Co office was decorated green with balloons and banners. The office team all brought in cakes that they had baked; they spoke to many local businesses for raffle prize donations which included gym memberships, meals for two, chocolates and many other gifts.
The Martin & Co team invited locals into the office as well as spending nearly 3 hours walking around Saltaire and accosting traffic on Saltaire Road with buckets taking donations and giving people cakes in return.
This fundraising event not only raised money for charity but it gave Martin & Co the opportunity to raise their profile with the local businesses and passing trade.
Each cake went out with a Martin & Co Key ring! The letting agent even managed to obtain a market appraisal.
It was a great day overall for Macmillan and Martin & Co.
