Signs Express franchise gets on the buses
Leading local sign company Signs Express (Leeds) are delighted to see their latest project almost every day – a fleet of new buses taking commuters and visitors around Leeds and the surrounding areas from local bus company Arriva Yorkshire.
Arriva Yorkshire has invested £8m in the fleet of 43 new buses for the people of Yorkshire to enjoy comfortable and reliable travel and Signs Express (Leeds) were commissioned to add the finishing touches by completing branded vehicle graphics across the entire fleet.
The buses were launched at Temple Newsam House in Leeds in February 2012 and can now be seen across the county.
Arriva Yorkshire Head of Regional Marketing and Communications Chloe Leach O'Connell said, “Our major intake of 43 new vehicles into our fleet this year meant that we had a logistical feat to climb as we cascaded them onto routes and between depots. Signs Express was able to fit in to the project plan with ease and flexibility, allowing us to concentrate on service provision for our passengers. Their work is always of a high standard.”
With the distinctive Arriva branding along with prominent positioning of the Arriva Bus website address, the graphics are complemented by large full colour graphic panels across the length of the buses advertising Arriva’s achievement of being named ‘bus operator of the year’.
Signs Express (Leeds) owner Dave Nurse said, “We are really pleased to have worked on such a high profile contract for Arriva. We have also completed other graphics projects in the past for Arriva, one which springs to mind was to commemorate children’s author Roger Hargreaves, with different characters of the Mr Men and Little Miss series emblazoned across the Arriva fleet. This latest fleet of buses is a great addition to the Arriva brand.”
This is the latest in a number of high profile contracts for Signs Express (Leeds) which has seen the leading sign firm recognised nationally in the Sign Industry Awards including work for footwear brand Hush Puppies and Bridgewater Place, a prestigious new development in the heart of Leeds.
