Searching for a master franchisor, in the Care franchise sector
With the tendering process almost coming to a close, the CEO of Always Best Care Senior Services has been meeting potential candidates and discovering the extent of potential for Always Best Care in the UK.
Over the past two years, Always Best Care (ABC) has been the fastest-growing senior care franchise system in the USA and the only franchise that offer non-medical home care, assisted living placement services and skilled domiciliary care. They are trusted because they ensure their clients receive the right level of service at the right time.
ABC has been operating in the USA since 1996 and launched its first franchises in 2008. There are now over 180 franchise territories across the USA and Canada, with their major success attributed to two factors; a recession-resistant senior care market and an exceptionally-high standard of care across their three revenue streams.
According to a 2012 report by the market research firm Franchise Business Review, the home care industry has quickly emerged as one of the top sectors for franchising, both in terms of profitability and franchisee satisfaction. Franchise Business Review writes, “What two years ago may have looked like a ‘safe’ industry in a down economy is today one of the hottest sectors, offering some of the best franchise opportunities.”
In preparation for their UK launch, ABC has been seeking a UK master franchisor who will be responsible for managing and mentoring a franchise network of hands-on professionals. Only applicants with a wide range of business experience and high-level motivation are being considered for this prestigious position.
The CEO of ABC, Mike Newman has been visiting a number of candidates recently to discuss their interest. With the concept being so successful in the USA, Mike has found that the potential for a UK master franchisor has created a great deal of excitement in a very buoyant market. As part of his meetings, Mike has been able to provide detailed information about the franchise system and how they plan to support their UK franchisees in their new master region.
Mike says, “It’s very encouraging to see how positive the response has been during our search for a dedicated master franchisor in the UK. We know that our success in the USA can be replicated here, especially with a strong character managing the network. The potential for ABC to become an international brand is become a much clearer realisation.”
Whilst there are still other candidates to be interviewed, Mike insists that they will only select the best candidate, “There are currently 14 million people in the UK aged over 60, and this figure is projected to increase by 50% over the next 25 years. This provides a growing market for the care sector and for ABC specifically, it is about ensuring that these people are living in the best possible comfort with services tailored to their needs. Finding someone who understands and shares our vision is therefore essential.”
