The Original Poster Company franchise appoints new Business Development Manager
The Original Poster Company (OPC) is excited to announce and welcome Scott Gibson as our new Business Development Manager for the North Region. Scott has over 20 years of experience within the greeting cards industry and has worked with household names in the industry such as Gibson, Carlton and Card Connections in the past.
At OPC Scott will be responsible for supporting our franchisees in the North of the UK. He will coach and train his regional franchisees to enable them to develop the skill set that is required to run every aspect of their business in the most profitable way, resulting in the growth of their area. This role suits Scott perfectly as he has a passion to support others in reaching their business success:
“I want my franchisees to get the absolute maximum from their business. So that they can take advantage of every opportunity that becomes available in terms of product, space and service improvement. Through this we can ensure together that OPC as a network continues to have the best possible package available on the market and stays ahead of its competition.”

Established in 1991, OPC’s franchise network has had complete UK coverage for over 20 years and is a full member of the British Franchise Association. This and OPC’s reputation in the industry were key for Scott’s decision to join:

Providing comprehensive training is highly important at OPC. So, we not only provide training for our new franchisees but also for the staff that supports them. Even though Scott has extensive experience within the industry, he also completed OPC’s training programme to provide him with knowledge of the latest OPC products and the skillset to ensure that he can support his franchisees most effectively.
“OPC also provided me with comprehensive training giving me all the time to learn what I needed to know about the products and the people that I would be looking after. The people at OPC are all very nice and supportive which has made my training really enjoyable,” says Scott.
