Driver Hire franchisee is 'Startups' award winner
Driver Hire franchisee, Gary Riches, owner of the leading transport and logistics recruiter’s Colchester office, has won the ‘New Franchisee’ category in this year’s ‘Startups awards’.
Now into their tenth year, the ‘Startups awards’ are run by Startups.co.uk, an online platform for people new to the world of self employment. The awards recognise the success of Britain’s newest businesses which have been trading for less than three years.
The judges were clearly impressed by Gary’s outstanding business performance and commended both Gary and his team for their enthusiasm. During the current financial year, Gary’s Colchester team have beaten his business plan target every month. Turnover is currently 110% up on same time last year.
“I was surprised to be nominated, so to hear my name being read out as the winner was a real shock!” says Gary. “Of course it’s great to have our efforts recognised. But this business is about more than simply making a profit. It’s about finding work for people in the local community which in turn provides economic benefits for them, their families and in the wider community.”
