SPRING INTO SUCCESS with the UK's largest 'For Sale' board contractor

Spring's in the air and, along with the daffodils, 'For Sale' boards are popping up everywhere. You'll see them on virtually every street in the country. Let's say you were to see five boards on any particular street ? the chances are that at least one of them was put up and is being serviced by Agency Express, the only nationwide board contractor.

"In fact, 20% of the UK's 'For Sale' boards are now erected and maintained by Agency Express franchisees," said Stephen Watson, the company's founder and Managing Director. "And with company turnover having grown by an average 30% per annum over recent years, it's an exciting time for all our franchisees."

'For Sale' boards are the most important sales aid for estate agencies advertising properties for sale. At any one time there are an estimated 1.5 million 'For Sale' and 'To Let' boards on display, equating to a business worth £20 million per year.

Traditionally, boards were erected by the agencies' own staff or by local sign companies offering limited geographical coverage and generally a poor standard of service. As an ex-estate agent, Stephen Watson saw the need for a nationwide professional and reliable service. He set up Agency Express in 1997 and with sustained growth the company now has 89 established franchisees covering the UK from Aberdeen to Kent and Cornwall.

The Business

It's a van-based business, which means low overheads and excellent earning potential. Working Monday to Friday, during normal business hours, each franchisee works within his own protected territory servicing 'For Sale' boards. Each territory is carefully allocated to allow the franchisee to expand and put further vehicles and employees on the road.

Over half of the business enjoyed by franchisees is with the large national agency chains who are attracted by the Agency Express centralised accounts system, providing them with a single invoice for all their board work nationwide. This also benefits each franchisee by reducing paperwork and admin to an absolute minimum.

The Rewards

The cost of joining the franchise is £14,500 (plus reclaimable VAT), which gives you not only a 10-year Franchise Licence but also everything you need to get the business up and running. This includes a total of 8 days training and business launch, the deposit paid on a brand new racked out Renault Master Van, a computer, printer and fax machine, all the specialist equipment you need, together with corporate clothing and stationery.

"It's a simple business formula, but one that creates an excellent earning potential," added Stephen Watson. "Our average franchisee earns in excess of £50,000pa while our top franchisees earn well over £100,000pa. And the future looks even brighter, as the growth in company turnover is directly reflected in the ongoing success of our franchisees."
