DOMINO'S PIZZA IS FINALIST IN NATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS
Domino's Pizza, the UK's leading pizza delivery company, has been selected as a finalist in the 3i Growth Strategy of the Year category of the prestigious 2006 National Business Awards which is sponsored by Orange. The nomination recognises the company's exceptional business performance in 2005.Finalists in this category are selected on the basis of an organic growth strategy that has delivered outstanding increases in sales, profits and market share. Domino's growth success is attributed to the company's continued rapid expansion, commitment to delivering high standards to customers, innovative operations and marketing and its ability to leverage the combined entrepreneurial drive of over 150 franchisees.
Domino's Pizza has reported excellent growth over recent years, with system sales increasing from £98.4m in 2001 to ?200.£7m last year; operating profit up from £3.2m in 2001 to £10.4m last year; earnings per share up from 4.00 pence in 2001 to 16.25 pence last year and number of stores up from 215 at the start of 2001 to 428 by June 2006.
Commenting on the selection, Chief Executive of Domino's Pizza, Stephen Hemsley, says, "It is an honour to be short-listed as a finalist in the National Business Awards and I am delighted that the efforts of our franchisees and team members have been acknowledged by the scheme.

Domino's Pizza is up against nine other companies in the category and winners will be announced at the gala dinner on 7th November at Grosvenor House, London.
