Laser Clinics marks International Nurses Day by launching a special recognition program for its global nursing network

Launched for this year’s International Nurses Day in recognition of their unwavering commitment to client care, Laser Clinics has organized a series of events and initiatives to honor and appreciate its nurses:

Special Recognition: On May 12th, Laser Clinics will host a series of morning teas to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of its nurses. Each nurse in the network will receive a gift of products and sweet treats and a thank you card from Laser Clinics Group CEO, Neil Lake.

Social Media Campaign/Competition: Laser Clinics will run social media competitions across individual clinics in all 4 countries, so that local Registered Nurses can be nominated by the community to win a £250 gift voucher at their local Laser Clinics.

International Nurse Day is celebrated annually on 12th May, the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. It is a day to recognise the vital role of Nurses in promoting health, and to honour their contributions to healthcare worldwide. Kirsty always had a deep desire to be a nurse. Inspired by how caring and helpful her nan was to others growing up and how this care helped them feel and smile. Kirsty has worked in busy Emergency Departments since qualifying and has worked in some of the most challenging circumstances when patients have needed it the most. It was this same compassion and desire to have a positive impact on a person’s life that led to her career in aesthetics. With 9 years in aesthetics under her belt, including within the Laser Clinic Manchester team, Kirsty is passionate about education and achieving good results safely. This patient-centered approach has helped Kirsty build trust, long-term relationships with her patients, and help grow countless clients’ self-confidence and feel happier in their own skin.

Alex Goodenough

Alex pursued nursing following a desire to train in an industry which helps people. One memorable experience was working with a patient to help restore their confidence and help them feel like themselves again, through consultations and a personalized treatment plan, Alex worked with the patient on a course of dermal filler to help with the signs of ageing. Restoring their mid-face, for a natural and fantastic result. Alex’s top tip for those thinking of pursuing a career in nursing is to start slowly, research industry leading courses and training, understand your anatomy and keep updated with industry developments.
