At Dyno-Rod, we believe our success is intrinsically connected with the communities we serve.

Our franchises across the UK are not just about delivering best-in-class plumbing and drainage services 24 hours a day; they also pride themselves on genuine, meaningful engagement with local communities.

A key motivation behind this is to help support the next generation shape their future, inspire innovation, and ensure Dyno-Rod stays at the very cutting edge of our sector.

One of the ways we are fulfilling our commitment to community engagement and innovation is through our recent partnership with the University of Brighton. This collaboration is part of our Industry and Education initiative, which is designed to help students deploy their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

The aim is to inspire, spark creative ideas, and ultimately ensure Dyno-Rod remains a byword for innovation.

Putting students to the test

In May, we had the privilege of attending the university to witness the strategic thinking of their Marketing and Business Management students first hand.

Following three months of work, our team judged 12 presentations from groups of students. These covered how Dyno-Rod can develop innovative marketing strategies to drive new business. All presentations were very impressive, with students showcasing their understanding of the Dyno-Road brand and unique ideas to engage younger customers.

However, there could be only one winner, which was Zesty Solutions. The team – who said they found the process both challenging and very rewarding – presented several fantastic initiatives that could drive our brand forwards. This included the use of art to inspire and educate younger people.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the students who participated in the project. Their hard work, commitment, and fresh perspectives are invaluable to make such partnerships work for everyone.

Additionally, we are grateful to Nadia Lonsdale from the University of Brighton for her unwavering support and for facilitating this fantastic collaboration.

Speaking about our community work, Lee Parry, Dyno-Rod’s Network Performance & Strategy Manager, said: “The partnership with the University of Brighton is a brilliant example of how we can drive new marketing initiatives that benefit our entire franchise network.

“By engaging with the next generation of marketers, we can bring fresh ideas into our strategies, allowing us to deliver our world-class services to even more homes and businesses across the UK.

“This collaboration not only enriches the students’ learning experience, but also ensures Dyno-Rod continues to innovate and lead in the plumbing and drainage industry.”
