New Merry Maids Owner Takes over in Lincoln

Merry Maids Lincoln has come under new management from local businesswoman, Humera Hussain.

Humera joins Merry Maids ready to bring the same excellent standards of service to residents of the area in new and exciting ways.

The business, which has just successfully resold from the previous owner, will continue to provide the same services customers know and love, but driven by Humera’s fresh approach and drive for success.

We sat down with Humera to see why she joined Merry Maids, chose franchising and what her aspirations are for her new business.

Why Merry Maids?

Humera is taking the step into business ownership after spending the last few years raising her three children and working as a teaching assistant.

“I have a busy home life, with three young children and wanted to be able to do the drop-offs and pickups. I’ve spent some time in employment but felt that the time was right to take on a new challenge which would be a better fit for my interests. Merry Maids has a great reputation and was a great, flexible fit for me,” she says.

“I'm able to focus on my business and also work around my home life, which provides me a good balance.”

“I've been with Merry Maids for two weeks, and I'm really getting comfortable with the business and also starting to understand my customers on a personal level. Getting to know the systems has been a little bit harder than I thought, but I'm really enjoying it and making great strides.”

Goals for the future

Taking over from the previous owner, Humera says her goal is to maintain the same quality and exceptional Merry Maids cleaning standards while allowing customers who need us to access our services in new and exciting ways.

“I am passionate about maintaining a high standard of cleaning service. I’m keen to transition into the new business by ensuring my maids are happy and customers are satisfied. I’m focusing on keeping the business steady by transferring to a new system, before I start introducing e-commerce, which will make it easier to access cleans.”

“Online services, which are simple to use and available at any time, are really important for me, so I understand how this will benefit my customers. And it'll be easy to do.”

The road ahead

“I’m really energised and passionate in delivering a high standard of cleans to make life easier. I want Merry Maids of Lincoln to be known for its happy staff and excellent service.”
