Lasertech
West Edinburgh
Why I chose franchising
The Lasertech Franchise has given me the opportunity to sell excellent quality products and provide superb service to customers, as well as giving me the incentive to be successful. Being my own boss means I am able to manage my own time and look forward to getting up in the morning and going to work.
What I did before taking up a franchise
I worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland for the past 12 years.
How I raised the finance
Part bank loan/ Part savings
The training and support I receive from my franchisor
Before the launch of Lasertech West Edinburgh I attended an intense two week training course run by Lasertech at the Hanover International Hotel in Cheshire as well as receiving a brand new van full of stock. I also knows that the team at the Lasertech Head Office are on hand to give help and advice when required. All marketing is taken care off at the head office - and because the manufacturing process of the cartridges in done by technicians who have 14 years experience I can concentrate on selling.
The challenges I have faced
Learning to adapt - I am now my own boss, I have no regime to follow, because off this I know I need to make effective use of my time.
My advice to someone thinking of buying their first franchise
Firstly make sure the franchise is a member of the BFA. Plus look at the support the franchisor has to offer the franchisee.
My plans for the future
With the experience support of Lasertech I can look forward to providing for my family and building a strong successful business.
