Card Connection franchise has fun with new humour range

Leading greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection, has today announced the roll out of its new humour range.  Ten fun new designs have been added to the popular range which will now be delivered to retail outlets by the Company’s 75 franchises throughout the UK and Ireland.

“Our franchisees now supply more than 1,500 high-quality greeting cards and gifts to both independent retailers and national accounts like BP, WHS Travel, Budgens, Londis, Spar and Palmer & Harvey,” explains Andrew Cutler, sales and franchise director, Card Connection.  “We have certainly had fun with the new additions and anticipate their humour will have a wide appeal with consumers.”

The new additions include: two tall photo plasticine style designs including the mildly risqué ‘Stop Badgering’ card and the silly ‘Immature Cheddar’ design, plus two female cards that play on age and exercise, also a photographic model character based on a previous well-selling alcohol gag.  Other highlights are a new traditional illustration style on Go Home’ and the silly text and icon based ‘Timmy Toilet’ that’s unashamedly toilet humour!  Meanwhile ‘Beware of the cat’ proves that visual humour is alive and kicking.   Finally, to bolster the risqué section of the range, a popular generic design features a cheeky visual punch line and one tongue-in-cheek design for the boys.

Card Connection is part of UK Greetings, the largest publicly owned greeting card publisher in the world and has limited vacancies for franchisees who are keen to run an expanding business.  Successful candidates would ideally have some management experience as, once established, they would be expected to employ a small team, operate a warehouse and have several liveried vans on the road.
