Like Athens, but in the UAE
YES!! The Athenian is now officially an international restaurant business!
After the hugely successful launch of our first site outside of the UK earlier this year, in Madrid, Spain, we’re back with another international launch! This time outside of the European market, in the United Arab Emirates! We’re super excited 😆 & proud to have the Athenian 🦉 available in Dubai + Abu Dhabi and people are LOVING IT 😍
Dubai is a mature and developed market for the Greek category, with plenty of options available already. But no-one quite making food like The Athenian! Only the freshest ingredients, importing key core ingredients directly from our established supplier partners in Greece, and also sourcing locally in the UAE. Our local teams in Dubai + Abu Dhabi are incredibly experienced and the execution is as good and authentic as eating food in the streets of Athens!

More sites coming later this year both across Spain and the UAE! The Athenian has plans to hit 11 sites across Spain by 2023 including major Spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, and 8 sites in total in the UAE across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
We’re also scoping the German market starting with Berlin, as well as further expansion into our home market, the United Kingdom.
